HERSHEY, PA—The popular Creatures Of The Night event at ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park kicks off its 45th anniversary.
The after-hours experience will run on more dates than ever, from 6-9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays through Nov. 1.
In celebration of the event’s anniversary, ZooAmerica will debut new activities included with admission, such as a history-themed scavenger hunt and a creature kitchen where visitors can learn about animal diets. Decorating a luminary, a creepy crawler display, animal enrichments and other guest-favorite, Halloween-themed activities are also offered during the event.
Guests are encouraged to bring a flashlight to Creatures Of The Night for optimal viewing of the outdoor habitats. Creatures Of The Night is the only time of year the Zoo is open after dark, allowing visitors to explore the nighttime behaviors of North American animals.
Creatures Of The Night is included with a Hersheypark Halloween ticket when entering the Zoo from the bridge inside Hersheypark, but separate admission is available.
Ticket prices start at $14.50 plus taxes and fees on ZooAmerica.com or at the ZooAmerica Admissions Building for guests who plan to attend just Creatures Of The Night.
Meanwhile, Hersheypark Halloween and Dark Nights is open for family-friendly offerings during the day and frights at night, all included with admission.
During the theme park Halloween event, guests can enjoy five haunted houses, four scare zones, 50 rides and attractions (weather permitting), lights-out rides on select coasters, trick-or-treating for those 12 and under, a Monster Ball show with the Hershey Characters, the Avenue of the Afterlife with street performers, Creatures Of The Night and more.

ZooAmerica is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in October, with extended hours for Creatures Of The Night until 9 p.m. on Oct. 17-18, 24-25 and 31, and Nov. 1.
Special activities are offered from 6-9 p.m. on weekends (Fridays and Saturdays only).
Hersheypark Halloween event hours are 5-10 p.m. on Fridays, 12-10 p.m. on Saturdays and 12-9 p.m. on Sundays through Nov. 2. Dark Nights begins nightly at 6 p.m. and extends one hour after the Park closes – Fridays and Saturdays until 11 p.m. and Sundays until 10 p.m.
