Boys & Girls Club of Chambersburg To Open New Location

CHAMBERSBURG, PA – The Boys & Girls Club of Chambersburg and Shippensburg (BGCCS) is proud to announce the opening of the Chambersburg Club location at the Franklin County Housing Authority.

The Boys & Girls Club of Chambersburg provides a safe place for youth to learn and grow through programs and services that foster academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.

The Club serves hundreds of youth annually and is part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, which serves more than 4 million young people through 4,700 Club facilities across the country.

This strategic expansion will provide essential after-school and summer programming to youth living in Chambersburg.

The new site at 436 W. Washington St., which will officially open its doors on June 16, 2025, represents a significant milestone in the organization’s mission to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Franklin County Housing Authority to bring our programming directly to where many of our community’s children live,” said Arcadia Clever, executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of Chambersburg and Shippensburg. “This new location will allow us to serve more youth in our community with the programs they need to succeed academically, develop healthy lifestyles, and build character and leadership skills.”

The new site will offer a variety of programs including homework help, STEM activities, arts and crafts, sports and recreation, and character development programs. The facility will be staffed by trained youth development professionals and will serve school age children in grades K-8.

“Having the Boys & Girls Club on our property means our young residents will have access to high-quality youth programming right where they live,” said Danny Myers, director of the Franklin County Housing Authority. “This collaboration addresses a critical need in our community and supports our families in meaningful ways.”

The expansion was made possible through the generous support of BGCCS partners and reflects the community’s commitment to investing in the future of its young people.
