Dear Nana: I took my grandson to Target the other day and getting out of the store and back to the car was a nightmare! The parking lot was full of people with carts and drivers who weren’t paying attention. Making the trek to the cart return and back to the car with him was a nightmare. Dear Never Going Back Again in Greencastle: I had the same experience recently at a store. I try to park in a space next to a cart return. Sometimes that means I have to park a little further out or circle before parking, but it’s well worth it, especially if you plan to come out of the store with a big item or cartload of items. (It’s also helpful when trying to find your car amongst other vehicles that look the same after a harried trip!)
