WCTT to perform “Shrek”

WAYNESBORO, PA—The Waynesboro Children’s Theatre Troupe will perform “Shrek: The Musical” Dec. 4-7.

The full-scale production includes a cast of more than 90 local youth ranging in age from 6 to 18.

The production if presented with special arrangements and via license and materials provided by Music Theatre International.

Lead actors include: Dominic Kipe (Shrek); Ginger Moore (Fiona); Chloe Shacreaw (Fiona); Evan Forberger (Donkey); Robert Bond (Lord Farquad); Maycie Bitner (Dragon); Alyssa Vulgamott (Pinoccio); and Brenna Hollingsworth (The Gingerbread Man).

The show includes amazing sets, costumes, professional backdrops and an 18-piece orchestra led by Patrick McNamara.

The 40-strong production team is led by Stephen Kulla, producer; Cindy Martin, musical director; Sophi Fleagle, choreographer; Nicole Sanders and Natalie Beckner, production assistants; and committee chairs Troy Rhines, Brian Carroll, Mel Bitner, Kiersten Pruitt, Melody Bentz, Tammy Black, Toni Pagliaro, Stephanie Vulgamott, Julie Shacreaw, Paige Stewart, Michelle Bushneck, Joe Beckner, Kevin Geis & more.

Shows will be offered Thursday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 6 at noon; and Sunday, Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. at the Waynesboro Area Senior High School.
