CARLISLE, PA—You’ll be spellbound this week, Oct. 22-25, in downtown Carlisle, during Spellbound: A Downtown Carlisle Halloween Event, featuring activities and events for all ages.
The event includes:
Downtown Pumpkin Patch. Merchants will carve and decorate pumpkins. Go check out their creative gourds and vote for your favorites all week, Oct. 22-26.
The Case of the Carlisle Cat-astrophe Scavenger Hunt. Can you solve the mystery? Follow the clues and if you can figure out the culprit, your team wins, Oct. 22-31.
2025 Halloween Parade. Organized by the Carlisle Parks & Recreation, the parade steps off Wed., Oct. 22, at 7 p.m.
Special Film Event: “The House on Haunted Hill” (1959; NR-1:15) featuring a guest appearance by Victoria Price, Vincent Price’s daughter, at the Carlisle Theatre. Price plays an eccentric millionaire, Frederick Loren, who along with his wife Annabelle, has invited five people to the house for a “haunted house” party. Whoever stays in the house for one night will earn $10,000. As the night progresses, the guests are trapped within the house with an assortment of terrors. The classic supernatural horror film will be shown at 8 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., formal lecture with Price at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $18 available here.
Pumpkin carving. The Tool Library will be hosting a pumpkin-carving activity at Farmers on the Square, Wed., Oct. 22.
Design Your Own Mask. Happy Go Creative (2 Liberty Ave.) will host this event from 5-9 p.m. Thurs., Oct. 23. $5, reservations required.
Wagon Rides. Benchfield Farms will offer wagon rides with haunted stories from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Oct. 23-24. $10 per person, reservations required. To make reservations, call/text Traci at 717-448-8464.
Dark Theatre Tours. Theater history and ghost stories at the Carlisle Theatre, 8:30-10:15 p.m. Friday, by reservation. $20 for adults; $10 for kids.
Monster Mash Costume Contest. Back Porch Brewing invites you to an evening of live music with Not Quite Rite. Dress in your best costume. Friday, 7 p.m.
Walking Tours with Jennifer from Timekeeper Tours. Tours offered Friday and Saturday. Tickets required in advance.
Bosler Library’s Comic Con. Held Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Spooky Saturday Downtown Trick-or-Treating, noon-3 p.m. Saturday.
Masquerade Ball . Enjoy an evening of elegance and mystery in your fanciest mask at the Downtown Carlisle Masquerade Ball happening on Saturday, October 25th from 6-8 p.m. The Masquerade will be held outside in the Pocket Park and parking lot of the Cumberland County Historical Society. This is an 18+ event. Tickets are $5.
Rocky Horror Picture Show. This 1975 cult classic starring Tim Curry will be shown at the Carlisle Theatre Saturday at 8:30 p.m. and midnight. Tickets are $15.
