Every time I change toilet paper, I look at the cardboard tube and think I should be doing something with it, rather than tossing it in the trash. Turns out I’m not the only one who wants to recycle those things! I found several ideas that I’ve tried and I will share them with you as we go. Here’s an easy one for when the grandkids come.

Using scissors, cut partway into the tub to create little strips on the end (think flower petals). Using your palm, flatten them outward.

Hand the tub to a grandchild along with papers and paints and show them how to dip it into paint to make designs, instead of using a paintbrush. The can dab it or roll it into the paint. Voila! #recycle
